Regardless of whether you come to Munich for the Church Convention by car, plane, train or coach – see also the heading "Journey" – it is advisable to use the public transportation system in and around Munich.

Thanks to the good local transport network in Munich you can reach the grounds of the International Church Convention – the Olympic Park – by bus, tram or subway without problem.

The Munich transport authority MVG has matched the public transport frequency to the event plan and the expected number of passengers.

However, during the ICC, comprehensive construction work is being carried out in the suburban train network (S-Bahn) which is used as a link to the subway network (U-Bahn). As a result, the main S-Bahn line between Ostbahnhof and Pasing is severely limited starting Friday evening, June 6, 2014. However, the extensive local transport network in Munich offers many alternatives.

Our tip:
Visitors to the Church Convention should change trains as early as possible to the subway network (U-Bahn) on which the "Olympiazentrum" stop is found. Interchanges with a good connection between the S-Bahn and U-Bahn networks are the Hauptbahnhof (central station) and the Ostbahnhof (east station). Park&Ride stations

Tickets for the local services

Tickets for the local services can be obtained from machines at all stations. There are tickets for single journeys and stripe tickets for several trips, as well as day tickets and multiday tickets for central Munich or the complete network.
