Access
Access to the ICC event locations is only permissible with a bracelet for the ICC 2014. This must therefore be worn throughout your visit to the Church Convention.

Arrival
Travelling to the ICC is your own responsibility. We recommend that you travel together by coach or by using public transport.

Arriving by motor vehicles:

Munich low-emission zone – the so-called “Parking harp” is excluded from this:
The central ring road in Munich does not belong to the low-emission zone. It is therefore possible for visitors to the Olympic Park to directly drive on the central ring road (Landshuter Allee) via the Sapporobogen into the “Parking harp” without a pollution badge.

Arriving by public transport:

From Munich main station – route to the Olympic Park:

• For the destination “Olympiazentrum” (from there you can easily reach all ICC event locations by foot or using the shuttle service): Subway line U2 in direction Feldmoching up to Scheidplatz (5 stations). Change at Scheidplatz to subway line U3 in direction Moosach up to stop “Olympiazentrum” (2 stations). Approx. 9 minutes by train, then 2 minutes footpath to the Olympic Park

• For the destination “Olympiapark West” (Event-Arena, Olympiastadion, Werner-von-Linde-Halle): Tram line 20 in direction Moosach up to stop “Olympiapark West” (8 stations). Journey time approx. 11 minutes, then 5 minutes footpath to the Olympic Park

From Munich airport – route to the Olympic Park:

• For the destination “Olympiazentrum” (from there you can easily reach all ICC event locations by foot or using the shuttle service): Suburban train line S8 in direction Herrsching up to Marienplatz (12 stations). From there with subway line U3 in direction Moosach via Olympiazentrum (8 stations). Journey time approx. 1 hour, then 2 minutes footpath to the Olympic Park.

• For the destination “Olympiapark West” (Event- Arena, Olympiastadion, Werner-von-Linde-Halle): Suburban train line S8 in direction Herrsching up to Hauptbahnhof (central station, 14 stations). From there with tram line 20 in direction Moosach up to stop “Olympiapark West” (8 stations). Journey time approx. 1 hour, then 5 minutes footpath to the Olympic Park

Unfortunately, comprehensive construction work which could not be deferred will take place during this period. As a result, the subway network (S-Bahn) is severely limited between Pasing and Ostbahnhof (downtown area): only shuttle trains will be travelling in this section every 10 minutes. Extra S-Bahn trains are unfortunately not possible because of the construction work.

Bill posting
Bill posting and the distribution of leaflets are forbidden. Exceptions are regulated by the ICC event management / event office.



Box office
Those who decide to visit the ICC on the spur of the moment can purchase a ticket at the box office. The box  office for ICC tickets is located at the Olympiastadion, North entrance, and is open on the Friday and Saturday of the event, in each case from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

ICC visitors who have received their bracelet (access pass) through their church congregation or by post need no longer register on the Olympic grounds. Their bracelet allows direct access to all event locations. ICC visitors who do not yet have a bracelet should present their electronic ICC ticket at the counter for bracelets and welcome presents at the box office. The counter is open on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Pentecost Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Please note: ICC tickets can no longer be purchased on Pentecost Sunday.



Bracelet as access pass, welcome present
Whoever purchases an ICC ticket will receive a bracelet as access pass to all ICC event locations and the ICC events during the period of validity (1-day or 2-day ticket) including the right to participate in the Pentecost service in the Olympiastadion.

The welcome present includes a scarf for the ICC 2014. It would be nice – and would also support the public relation activities – if as many ICC visitors as possible were to wear the “ICC scarf” – to all events if desired.

ICC visitors who have received their bracelet via the congregation (joint delivery) or by post at an extra charge have direct access to all event locations. ICC visitors with an online ticket who did not select individual delivery and therefore do not yet have a bracelet are asked to fetch their bracelet and welcome present at the counter at the box office of the Olympiastadion, North entrance (opening times of counter: Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.). Please present your electronic ticket.

Entry
The ICC exhibitions on the Coubertinplatz are open to the general public. However, to gain access to all ICC event locations and the ICC events, you need an entry bracelet: see A-Z, Bracelet as access pass.

The emergency exits and evacuation routes at the ICC event locations are appropriately identified. Please do not block!

Filming and photographing at events
For copyright reasons, video and audio recordings during the ICC events may only be made by persons commissioned by the organizer.

Cameras with large telephoto lenses may not be taken into the ICC event locations (access will be denied). Exempted from this are persons commissioned by the organizer.

The personality rights must always be observed (right to one’s own picture).



First aid
In case of need, any ICC visitor can contact our medical service. The paramedics and doctors wear orange waistcoats or the well-known ambulance service clothing and are therefore easy to recognize.

The two numbers shown above are available during the event times for urgent, acute emergencies. Irrespective of this, the Germany-wide emergency number 112 can also be used (especially at night or outside the event grounds)

General information
You will find friendly helpers everywhere on the event grounds, and these can provide you with information on the ICC or help you should you have any problems. They will be easy to recognize with their yellow waistcoats with the text “NAK Betreuer”.

As the organizer of the Church Convention in the Olympic Park, we are obliged to observe the site rules (Olympic Park Regulation) and the requirements of the authorities. These regulations also specify which objects may be taken into the event locations, and which are prohibited. More safety information can be read in the category event grounds.

Persons belonging to the security services – in blue waistcoats (see A-Z, Stewards) – are authorized to search bags.

Luggage such as backpacks, bags or suitcases must not be left unattended. Should you find unattended luggage, please immediately inform the security services.

Smoking is forbidden in all event locations. Barbecuing is also forbidden on the complete Olympic Park grounds.



Gluten-free communion wafers
Participants in the Pentecost service who require glutenfree wafers for Holy Communion are requested to bring these wafers along themselves and hand them over to the priest responsible for their seating position prior to the service. During celebration of Holy Communion, they will then receive the wafer from him. (If someone requires such a wafer and does not have one, a wafer can be obtained on Sunday morning at the North entrance to the Olympiastadion: available at the box office, open from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. – and then hand it over to the priest.)

Hearing impaired
The opening ceremony as well as the Pentecost service will be interpreted into sign language.

The podium discussion with Chief Apostle Jean-Luc  Schneider on Saturday, June 7, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Olympiahalle will be transmitted to the Werner-von-Linde-Halle and the Eissporttrainingshalle and interpreted there into sign language.

An overview of further events which will be interpreted into sign language will be available on the ICC website from about the beginning of May 2014. In addition, flyers will be available during the ICC listing all program items which will be interpreted into sign language. You can obtain these flyers at the Info point – see A-Z, Info point – and at the Info stand in the Service Centre for persons with handicaps (next to the Werner-von-Linde-Halle).

Headphones for hearing-impaired ICC visitors cannot unfortunately be provided. Audio induction loop systemsdo not exist either.

A special print with all information for persons with handicaps will be available at the Info point.



Helpers
In addition to the main Info point, visitors to the ICC with questions or requests can address any of our assistants wearing yellow waistcoats with the text “NAK Betreuer” who will be positioned all over the grounds. They will be pleased to help you and provide information. See also A-Z, “Info point”.



Hymns during the divine service
The texts of the hymns which are to be sung together during the service will be displayed on panels.

The two ICC shops offering e.g. special ICC shirts, bags and souvenirs are located on the west side of the Coubertinplatz and on the Lilian-Board-Weg opposite the East entrance to the Olympiahalle. Information, also concerning online orders, can be found at: shop.ICC2014.org

Info point / Hotline number
The central Info point is located on the Coubertinplatz between the Olympiastadion and the Olympiahalle. There you can receive information and answers to your questions concerning the ICC.

The Info point is open at the following times:

• Friday, June 6 2014, 10 a.m. until end of event
• Saturday, June 7 2014, from 8:30 a.m. until end of event

Left luggage office
Luggage cannot be stored on the Olympic grounds. It is possible to store luggage at the Munich central station in lockers (fees apply). However, only a limited number of lockers are available there.

Lost property, lost property offices
Please bring items found on the ICC grounds as quickly as possible to the caretaker of the Olympiahalle on the north side of the hall (see overview plan of Olympic Park on the front fold-out pages of the Guide). The caretaker will store the found items and return them to the owner. The caretaker entrance is open round-the-clock – phone number: +49 89-3067-2555.

If a found item cannot be assigned to any owner, please immediately inform the stewards or security personnel! Inquiries concerning lost items can otherwise be made at the following lost property offices:

Meals / catering
Numerous food stalls and a number of restaurants will provide ICC visitors with a versatile selection of food and drinks from morning until late in the evening.

2 catering marquees are additionally available exclusively for ICC participants: at the “Parking harp” 13 and on the north side of the Coubertinplatz at the west entrance of the Olympiahalle. Food which you have brought along may not be consumed in the catering marquees. The catering marquees can only be accessed if you possess the ICC bracelet. All food and drinks must be paid for by visitors.

A beer garden is located on the Coubertinplatz. Next to the Olympic Tower is the “Seehaus” restaurant, on the Olympic Tower the “181”, a restaurant for discerning diners. A special type of restaurant is the “Alm”, a beer garden designed as an alpine cabin and located on the south of the Olympic Lake on the southern slope of the hill (approx. 20 minutes walking distance).



Medical service
In case of need, any ICC visitor can contact a paramedic or doctor. Paramedics and doctors wear orange waistcoats or the well-known ambulance service clothing.

Mobile telephone
Making phone calls is not permitted during the divine service and during all closed events at all event locations.



Museums in Munich
The following state museums in Munich can be visited on the Sunday for a reduced admission charge of 1 Euro (free entry for visitors under 18 years): Ägyptisches Museum, Alte Pinakothek, Antikensammlungen, Archäologische Staatssammlung München, Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, Glyptothek, Museum Brandhorst, Museum für Mensch und Natur, Neue Pinakothek, Pinakothek der Moderne, Sammlung Schack, Staatliches Museum für Völkerkunde, and Staatliche Münzsammlung München.

No-smoking rules
Smoking is not permissible in any event location.

Overcrowding at events
In accordance with police orders and safety directives, only a limited number of visitors can be admitted to the individual event locations. If the capacity has been reached, the stewards will have to deny further access. We sincerely ask you to accept such decisions and follow the instructions given by the stewards.

Persons with handicaps
Persons with handicaps are fully integrated in the experience of the Church Convention. All buildings and event localities of the Olympic Park in Munich are inherently barrier-free; however, certain compromises must be made regarding the grounds which were constructed for the Olympics in 1972, in other words more than 40 years ago.

The Service Centre for persons with handicaps is located in the BusinessArea of the Olympiahalle. A relaxation area is located there with beds and two toilets for the disabled. A helper team will provide support as required. If necessary, a limited number of wheelchairs and wheeled walkers can be hired in this Service Centre following a deposit of 20 Euros.

Help for persons with special handicaps and rest periods in special nursing beds are available at the Service Centre in the Werner-von-Linde-Halle in the rooms directly next to the medical service.

People with handicaps with the aG or Bl symbol in their disabled person’s pass can park free of charge on the “Parking harp” of the Olympic grounds (see overview plan on the front fold-out pages of the Guide).

Access for wheelchair users to the Olympiastadion is through the “Kleine Marathontor” (small marathon gate) on the southwest side of the stadium. Spaces are located directly on the edge of the playing field on the right of the grandstand.

Access for wheelchair users to the Olympiahalle is possible via the east and west entrances. The 44 special spaces for wheelchair users and their helpers are located above the galleries by the standing areas.

There are 16 spaces for wheelchair users in the Eisstadion; these are located in the staircase areas.



Prams / pushchairs
Prams and pushchairs cannot be taken into all public areas of the event locations. However, supervised areas are provided where prams and pushchairs can be left when visiting an event. The stewards (see A-Z, Stewards) at the entrances to the event locations can provide information.

We recommend that you use public transport when travelling to the Olympic grounds.

Safety information
Everyone can contribute to the safety of ICC visitors by not blocking evacuation routes and emergency exits, by observing the smoking and fire restrictions, by not leaving luggage unattended, by keeping valuables well protected, and by following the instructions given by stewards (see A-Z, Stewards) and the security personnel.

If a found item of luggage cannot be assigned to an owner, please immediately inform the stewards or security personnel! No liability is accepted for lost property.

Shuttle service
There will be a free shuttle service for ICC visitors on the Olympic grounds: the Spiridon-Louis Line and the Coubertin Line (see shuttle plan on the following double page) will run every 10 minutes, the Express Line will run every 20 minutes and as required.

Wheeled walkers
Wheeled walkers can only be taken into audience areas to a limited extent. Separate parking areas for wheeled walkers are provided at the event locations. The stewards at the entrances to the event locations can provide information.



Wi-Fi / WLAN
The event grounds are well equipped with UMTS so that smartphones in particular will have a good Internet link. Wi-Fi or WLAN is not publicly available.
